Taping River

Taping River, also known as Ta Hkaw Hka in Kachin and Ta Ying Chiang(大盈江) in Chinese, is a river in northern Myanmar, formerly Burma. It is the first tributary of the country's chief river, the Irrawaddy, and the watersheds between it and the N'mai Hka river to the northwest and the rivers Shweli and Salween to the southeast form part of the boundary with China. Its source lies in Yingjiang County of Yunnan Province,China, and it enters the Irrawaddy near Bhamo, Kachin State.

Bhamo

Bhamo (Burmese: ဗန်းမော်မြို့, also spelt Bamaw) is a city of Kachin State in northernmost part of Myanmar, located 186 km south from the capital city of Myitkyina. It is on the Ayeyarwady River. It lies within 65 km of the border with Yunnan Province, China. The population consists of Chinese and Shan, with Kachin peoples in the hills around the town. It is the administrative center of Bhamo District and Bhamo Township.

Bhamo District is a district of the Kachin State in northern Burma (Myanmar). The capital is the city of Bhamo. The district covers an area of 10,742.9 km. The district of four townships: Bhamo Township, Shwegu Township, Momauk Township, and Mansi Township.

National Road 36 or State Highway 36 is a road of northeastern Burma. The highway is fed by the National Highway 31 from the south at Mansi at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:24|12|19|N|97|15|30|E| | |name= }} and goes in an easterly direction until it skirts the Chinese border and joins National Highway 3 coming from the south at Muse at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:23|59|49|N|97|54|5|E| | |name= }}.
