Elim, Namibia

Elim is a village in the north-east of the Republic of Namibia. It is the district capital of the Elim Constituency in the administrative Omusati Region. It is situated in a formerly forested area that has largely been converted into agricultural grassland. Elim is the centre of the Uukwambi traditional authority. The Monument for the Uukwambi Kings, erected at the site of the grave and the remains of the homestead of king Nuuyoma, the sixteenth king of the Uukwambi, is situated here.

Ogongo Constituency

Ogongo Constituency is an electoral constituency in the Omusati Region northern part of Namibia. It has 18,498 inhabitants, its district capital is the settlement of Ogongo. The constituency further contains the settlements of Eengolo, Eendombe, Pyamukuyu, Iipanda, Ombathi, and Omuthitu. University of Namibia has one of its agricultural campuses near Ogongo, specialising in crop science and forestry.

Olupandu

Olupandu is a village situated at the southern side of northern Namibia, in the Etayi Constituency of the Omusati Region. It is 200 kilometres from the border between Angola and Namibia. According to the 2001 census, it has a population of 50,000 people, and it covers up to 55 square kilometres . Olupandu features a secondary school, Onyika Junior Secondary School, and a hospital. Olupandu is home to Olupandu Elcin Church. Its neighbouring villages are Ohembe, Okamwandi and Omafa.
