Makwanpur District

Makwanpur District(Nepali: मकवानपुर जिल्ला, a part of Narayani Zone, is one of the seventy-five districts of Nepal, a landlocked country of South Asia. The district, with Hetauda as its district headquarters, covers an area of 2,426 km² and had a population of 392,604 in 2001 and 420,477 in 2011.

Dakshinkali Temple

Dakshinkali Temple or Dakshin Kali Temple, located 22 kilometres outside Kathmandu and about 1 kilometre outside the village of Pharping, is one of the main temples of Nepal dedicated to the goddess Kali. Animal sacrifices, particularly of cockerels and uncastrated male goats, are the main way that the goddess is worshipped, and this is especially seen during the Dashain festival.

Daman, Nepal

Daman is a village in the central part of Nepal, located in the district of Makwanpur. It is halfway between Kathmandu and Hetauda at 2320m. Daman on the Tribhuvan Highway has probably the finest view of the Himalayas extending on a good day from Dhaulagiri in the west to Everest in the east. The Everest Panorama Resort there has a helipad. Daman is a small village situated at an altitude of 2320 metres and 100 kilometres southwest of Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal.

Narayani Zone

Narayani (Nepali: नारायणी अञ्चल, located in the central south of Nepal, is one of the fourteen Zones of the Republic of Nepal. Narayani Zone is named after the Narayani River which is located on the western border of the zone, separating it from Gandaki and Lumbini zones. Narayani means beloved of Narayan and Narayan refers to Lord Vishnu .
