Rukum District
Rukum District(Nepali: रुकुम जिल्ला, is a "hill" and "mountain" district some 280 km west of Kathmandu in Rapti Zone of Nepal's Mid-Western Region. Rukum covers an area of 2,877 km² with population of 188,438 in 2001 and 208,567 in 2011. Musikot is the district's administrative center. Rukum district has many potential tourist attractions that remain unexplored. There is 5,849 meter Mt. Sisne, also called virgin mountain. Nobody claims to have conquered this mountain yet.

Rukumkot (Nepali: रुकुमकोट) is a beautiful town located in a valley in Rukum district, Nepal approximately 350 kilometres west of Kathmandu. Nearby is a pond called Rukmini Tal (Local name Kamal Dhaha with historic Sibalaya temple nearby built by Purna Kumari, wife of a Rana Prime Minister, and attractive Barah Temple.
