Cour du Nord

Cour du Nord was a restaurant located in Nooitgedacht, Drenthe, in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in 2009 and 2010. The restaurant closed for public in 2011. Head chefs of Cour du Nord in the time of the Michelin star were Pieter de Ronde (2009) and Marco Philips (2010). Cour du Nord was one of the five restaurants in the luxery holiday resort Hof van Saksen.

Westerbork Synthesis Radio Telescope

The Westerbork Synthesis Radio Telescope (WSRT) is an aperture synthesis interferometer near camp Westerbork, north of the village of Westerbork, Midden-Drenthe, in the northeastern Netherlands. It consists of a linear array of 14 antennas with a diameter of 25 metres arranged on a 2.7 km East-West line. It has a similar arrangement to other radio telescopes such as the One-Mile Telescope, Australia Telescope Compact Array and the Ryle Telescope.

Rolde

Rolde is a town in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Aa en Hunze, and lies about 6 km east of Assen. Rolde was a separate municipality until 1998, when it became a part of Aa en Hunze. In 2001, the town of Rolde had 3558 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 1.4 km², and contained 1585 residences. The statistical area "Rolde", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 4160.
