Druten

' is a municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands. The municipality covers the eastern part of the Land van Maas en Waal region of the province of Gelderland. One of its key features is the town's church, designed by the famous Dutch architect Pierre Cuypers.

Horssen

Horssen is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Druten, and lies about 10 km northwest of Wijchen. Horssen was a separate municipality until 1984, when it was merged with Druten. In 2001, the village of Horssen had 861 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 0.29 km², and contained 318 residences.

Leeuwen

Leeuwen is a former village and municipality in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is now divided into the two villages of Beneden-Leeuwen and Boven-Leeuwen. Leeuwen was a separate municipality until 1818, when it was merged with Wamel.

Waal (river)

The Waal or Rivier Waal ("Waal River") is the main distributary branch of river Rhine flowing through the Netherlands. Approximately 80 km, it is the major waterway connecting the port of Rotterdam to Germany. Before it reaches Rotterdam, it joins with the Afgedamde Maas near Woudrichem to form the Boven Merwede. Along its length, Nijmegen, Tiel, Zaltbommel and Gorinchem are towns of importance with direct access to the river.

Dodewaard

Dodewaard is a town in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Neder-Betuwe, and lies about 7 km south of Wageningen. Dodewaard was a separate municipality until 2002, when it became a part of Kesteren. Before 1818, the municipality was called "Hien en Dodewaard". In 2001, the town of Dodewaard had 3090 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 1.1 km², and contained 1166 residences.
