Uithuizen
Uithuizen is a village in the Dutch province of Groningen. It is located in the municipality of Eemsmond. Uithuizen has a railway station. Uithuizen was a separate municipality until 1979, when it became part of Hefshuizen. May 17 2008, Cardinal Simonis opened the Trail of St James, connecting Uithuizen to Hasselt, Le Puy en Velay, and Santiago de Compostela, creating a modern, northern branch of the Way of St James. In the village is a mansion called the Menkemaborg.

Hefshuizen
Hefshuizen is a former municipality in the Dutch province of Groningen. Hefshuizen was created in 1979, in the merger of the former municipalities of Uithuizen and Uithuizermeeden. In 1990, Kantens, Usquert, and Warffum were added, and in 1992, the name of the municipality was changed to Eemsmond.

Bethlehem, Groningen
Bethlehem is a hamlet just west of the village of Rottum, in the Dutch province of Groningen. Bethlehem is built at the location of a Benedictine nunnery. Together with the St. Juliana's Abbey a small distance to the north, the nunnery was mentioned in 1291 as the Conventus St. Juliane in Rotthem.
