Ackersdijk en Vrouwenregt

Ackersdijk en Vrouwenregt is a former municipality in the Dutch province of South Holland, located about halfway between Delft and Schiedam. It existed from 1817 to 1855, when it was joined to the municipality of Vrijenban. The area is now part of the municipalities of Midden-Delfland, Delft, and Pijnacker-Nootdorp. The municipality had about 150 inhabitants.

Kethel en Spaland

Kethel en Spaland is a former municipality in the Dutch province of South Holland. It was located to the north of the city of Schiedam, and covered the village of Kethel and the hamlet Kandelaar. Kethel en Spaland was a separate municipality until 1941, when it merged with Schiedam. The municipality had a population of 1,450 in 1868 and within the historical limits currently live 15,260 people. The former municipal flag consists of a horizontal tricolor, orange-black-orange, at a 2:1:2 ratio.

Rotterdam The Hague Airport

Rotterdam The Hague Airport, located 3 NM north northwest of Rotterdam, is the Netherlands' third largest airport, coming after Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Eindhoven Airport (measured in passengers). From the airport, there are amongst others daily services to London, Faro, Rome, Vienna, Madrid, Munich and Barcelona and charter flights. The airport handled 1,146,692 passengers in 2010.

Abtsregt

Abtsregt is a former municipality in the Dutch province of South Holland. It was located about 4 km southeast of Delft. The municipality existed from 1817 to 1855, when it merged with Vrijenban. It had around 200 inhabitants at that time. According to historian Van der Aa, the name of the area ("Abbot's right") derives from an ancient privilege of the abbot of Egmond. Until 1595, he was entitled to choose the best property of any inhabitant of Abtsregt who died in the area.

Technopolis Innovation Park Delft

The Technopolis Innovation Park Delft (or Technopolis) is a science park in Delft. It's a new centre for research and innovation that was started in 2005. Technopolis is located next to the campus of Delft University of Technology. The park covers 70 hectares (168 acres) which is available for companies and institutes conducting research and development activities.
