Doyleston
Doyleston is a small Canterbury township in the South Island of New Zealand. It was named after Joseph Hastings Doyle, a publican from Christchurch who moved to the locality. Doyleston promised to be one of the main townships in the Ellesmere area, but before long Leeston overtook it and some businesses moved there. Doyleston had a school for many years, but it consolidated with Leeston School in the late 1930s.

Leeston
Leeston is a small town on the Canterbury Plains in the South Island of New Zealand. It is located 40 kilometres southwest of Christchurch, between the shore of Lake Ellesmere and the mouth of the Rakaia River. The town is a farming service centre, but has all the necessities for a real township such as a supermarket, schools, churches, hospital (for the elderly only) and a small open swimming pool.

Springston
Springston is a small rural Canterbury township on the South Island of New Zealand. It was developed around the mid-19th century. It has a historic primary school, opened in 1868, which has approximately 160 students. Secondary students usually attend the nearby Lincoln High School. Springston in 2013 has a a growing primary school with over 200 students and is bout to grow with four new classrooms approved to be built this year.
