Ashley River / Rakahuri
The Ashley River is located in Canterbury Region of New Zealand. It flows generally southeastwards for 65 kilometres before entering the Pacific Ocean at Waikuku Beach, Pegasus Bay north of Christchurch. The town of Rangiora is close to the south bank of the Ashley River. The river's official name was changed from Ashley River to the dual name Ashley River / Rakahuri by the Ngai Tahu Claims Settlement Act 1998.

Rangiora Recreation Ground
Rangiora Recreation Ground (also known as the MainPower Oval through a sponsorship deal with local company MainPower) is a cricket ground in Rangiora, Canterbury, New Zealand. The ground first held a first-class match when Canterbury played Central Districts in the 2003/04 State Championship. Canterbury have played twelve further first-class matches there as of the 2011/12 season.

Woodend, New Zealand
Woodend is a town 26 km north of Christchurch on State Highway 1 named after one of New Zealand's early settlers named Thomas Woodend. The population as at the 2006 Census was 2,637. Woodend is in the Waimakariri District with both the Waimakariri and Ashley Rivers running either side. Close by Pegasus Bay and a new town currently under construction called Pegasus Town.
