Dargaville
Dargaville is a town in the North Island of New Zealand. It is situated on the bank of the Northern Wairoa River in the Northland region. The town is located 55 kilometres southwest of Whangarei. The population was 4455 in the 2006 Census, a decrease of 78 from 2001. It is noted for the high proportion of residents of Dalmatian descent.

Dargaville Aerodrome
Dargaville Aerodrome is a small airport located 1 Nautical Mile (1.9 km) southeast of Dargaville township in Northland, New Zealand. The airfield has an active aero club which provides training in advanced microlight and a Cessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft, and has a regular 'fly-in' lunch once a week that attracts aviators from New Zealand's North island. It is a base for topdressing aircraft working the surrounding area, and has Avgas available with a Mobil swipecard.

Tangowahine is a community on the northern Kaipara Harbour in Northland, New Zealand. The Tangowahine Stream flows from the Tutumoe Range east and then south to join the Wairoa River at Tangowahine. State Highway 14 passes through Tangowahine. Dargaville is 12 km to the south west, and Tangiteroria is 15 km north east.

Manganui River (Northland)
New Zealand's largest Manganui River is a river of the Northland Region of New Zealand's North Island. It follows a generally westward course from its sources west of Ruakaka before its outflow into the Wairoa River five kilometres east of Dargaville. The river's lower course is noted for its convoluted, winding path through low-lying swampy terrain, and several oxbow lakes are associated with this stretch of the river.
