Oguta is a town on the east bank of Oguta Lake in Imo State of southeastern Nigeria. It is the administrative seat for Oguta LGA. Oguta was one of the first territories used by the British to advance into the Igbo hinterland. As of 2012 Oguta's population was estimated at 20,096. Uli is a town of historic importance situated at the extreme southeast conner of Ihiala local government area of Anambra state in Nigeria. Her closest neibouring towns are Amaofuo (formerly a village in Uli town), Ihiala, Amorka, Ubulu, Ozara, Egbuoma and Ohakpu. Uli town extends westward to the confluence of the rivers of Atamiri and Enyinja, and across Usham Lake down to the lower Niger region.
