A232 highway (Nigeria)

The A232 highway is a highway in Nigeria. It is one of the east-west roads linking the main south-north roads. (It is named from the two highways it links). It runs from the A2 highway at Benin City to the A3 highway at the outskirts of Enugu, the capital of Enugu State. The main cities and towns on the route are Agbor, Asaba, Onitsha and Awka.

Awka

Awka is the capital of Anambra State, Nigeria with an estimated population of 301,657 As of 2006 Nigerian census. The city is located about 400 miles east of Lagos in the centre of the densely populated Igbo heartland in southeastern Nigeria. The West-East Federal highway links Lagos, Benin City, Asaba, Onitsha, and Enugu to Awka and several local roads link it to other important towns such as Ekwulobia, Agulu, Enugwu-Ukwu, Abagana and Nnewi.

Umuawulu

Umuawulu is a town in Awka South Local Government Area (LGA) of Anambra State, Nigeria located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:6|09|0|N|7|06|0|E|source:enwiki-plaintext-parser |primary |name= }}. The estimated population of Umuawulu by 2005 is 20,150. According to INEC register of voters 2011, Umuawulu has 4,323 total number of registered voters distributed among the 3 villages as follows, Enugwu 2,532; Umuenu 769; Agbana 1,022. Umuawulu was ruled by H.R.H. Eze G.C.
