Umuagwo

Umuagwo is a town in the Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area (LGA) of Imo State in Nigeria. The population is mostly Christian and Igbo-speaking. The town lies on the Otamiri River downstream from Ihiagwa and 26 km from Owerri on the Port Harcourt road. Eze Tony Oguzie, Chairman of the Council of Traditional Rulers in the Orlu (Imo West) senatorial zone, is monarch of Umuagwo.

Imo State Polytechnic

Imo State Polytechnic is a higher education institute in Umuagwo, Imo State, Nigeria. It was established in 1978 as the Michael Okpara College of Agriculture, Umuagwo and was upgraded to a Polytechnic status, renamed as the Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo in 2007. The institution provides courses, training and research in all branches of Agriculture, Management Sciences, Engineering and Food Sciences.

Okohia

Okohia is a community in the Ideato-South Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria, at an altitude of about 211 m. Okohia lies on the Imo River, a tributary of the Niger River, which creates a natural coastline of sandy beaches, mangrove swamps, lagoons and coastal hills. The official language is Igbo. The majority of the population are Christians, while others follow traditional beliefs.

Ihiagwa

Ihiagwa is a West African community located in the government area of Owerri West in Imo State, Nigeria. It is located 12 km south of the capital city of Owerri. The township is composed of eight villages: Umuelem, Umuchima, Mboke, Nnkaramochie, Iriamogu, Aku/Umuokwo, Ibuzo and Umuezeawula. The community is a monarchy ruled by an Eze. The Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) is located in Ihiagwa. The Market in Ihiagwa is called 'Nkwo Ukwu'.
