Oba Hills Forest Reserve

Oba Hills Forest Reserve is a reserve in Osun State, Nigeria that covers about 52 km of hilly terrain with deep gorges. A 2003 report by the UICN said about 12% of the reserve had been planted with teak. Some chimpanzee sightings had been reported, and in 1999 a dead chimp was offered for sale in a local market. A 2009 report said that almost all of the reserve had been converted to plantations and farms, with only two gullies remaining forest-covered.

Iwo, Nigeria

Iwo is a city in Osun State, Nigeria that is the seat of the Iwo Kingdom, a traditional state. The Iwo people, like all other people of Yoruba stock are said to have belonged to Ile-Ife from where they migrated sometimes in the 14th century. The earliest settlement initiated by Adekola Telu a prince from Ife. Adekola Telu was the son of the 16th Ooni of Ife a female called Luwo Gbagida.

Ejigbo

Ejigbo is a prominent town in Yoruba Land and the headquarters of Ejigbo Local Government Area, one of the oldest local government areas of Osun State in Nigeria. Ejigbo is strategically placed in the middle of the region, as 35 kilometres north-east of Iwo, 30 km from Ogbomoso in the north and 24 km from Ede in the south-east. It is about 40 km north-west of Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, and about 95 km north-east of Ibadan.
