Tromøy Bridge
Tromøy Bridge (Tromøybrua) is a suspension bridge that crosses Tromøysundet east of Arendal in Norway, connecting the island Tromøy with the mainland. The bridge is part of Norwegian National Road 409. Opened in 1961, it has a length of 400 metres and 12 spans. The longest span is 240 metres and ships up to 35 metres may pass under it. Its building was prepared by a special committee, chaired by Christian Stray during its entire existence from 1938 to 1961.
