Land, Norway

Land is a traditional district in Oppland, Norway consisting of the municipalities Nordre Land and Søndre Land. Land was a formannskapsdistrikt from 1837, and split into Nordre- and Søndre Land in 1847. By the time of partition Land had a population of 9,199. Krøderen (lake)

Krøderen, sometimes called Krøderfjorden, is a lake in Buskerud, Norway. The lake stretches about 41 kilometers north from the village of Krøderen in Krødsherad on it southern end and reaches north to the village of Gulsvik in Flå municipality in the valley of Hallingdal. The lake has a surface area of 42.88 km² and a depth of 119 meters. The primary river flowing into it is Hallingdalselva to the north. Its outlet is via the Snarumselva at the south end of the lake.
