Salen Chapel is a chapel in the municipality of Fosnes in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Salsnes, on the shores of the lake Salsvatnet. The church is part of the Fosnes parish in the Namdal deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden chapel building was constructed in 1953.

Salsvatn

Salsvatn or Salsvatnet is a lake in the municipalities of Fosnes and Nærøy in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. With its deepest depth of 464 metres, it is Norway’s and Europe’s third deepest lake, after Hornindalsvatnet. Alternate sources give the depth as either 464 metres or 482 metres at the deepest point. The lake sits very close to the ocean, about 9 metres above sea level at the surface and reaches to a depth of 455 metres below sea level.

Fosnes Chapel

Smines Bridge

Smines Bridge is a cantilever bridge in the southern part of the municipality of Nærøy in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. The bridge is 152.5 metres long and has a main span of 85 metres . Together with Hestøy Bridge, they form a link over the Fjærangen fjord connecting Fosnes to the south to Lund in Nærøy to the north.

Dun Church

Dun Church is a parish church in the municipality of Fosnes in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Dun on the island of Jøa. The church is part of the Fosnes parish in the Namdal deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church building was constructed in 1949 and it was consecrated on 24 July 1949 by the Bishop Arne Fjellbu. The building was designed by the architect Arne Sørvig, and it seats about 400 people.
