Lysefjord Bridge

The Lysefjord Bridge is a suspension bridge in Rogaland, Norway. Construction of the bridge began in 1995 and was finished in 1997. It has a main span of 446 meters and the depth of the deck is 2.7 meters. The supporting towers are 102 meters tall, and are made of reinforced concrete.

Frafjorden is a fjord in the municipalities Gjesdal and Forsand in Rogaland, Norway, a branch of the fjord Høgsfjorden. The fjord has steep sides and a length of about 6 kilometers. At the bottom of the fjord is the village Frafjord and the farming valley Frafjorddalen.

Dirdal

Dirdal is the name of valley and a village in Gjesdal municipality in the county of Rogaland, Norway. The valley has around 400 inhabatians, 248 of which live in the main village of Gilja. Dirdal was the scene of fierce fighting between Norwegian and German soldiers during Nazi Germany's assault on Norway in April 1940.

Lysefjord

Lysefjord (or Lysefjorden, the suffix "-en" is a form of the definite article in the Norwegian language) is a fjord located in Forsand in Ryfylke in south-western Norway. The name means light fjord, and is said to be derived from the lightly coloured granite rocks along its sides. The fjord was carved by the action of glaciers in the ice ages and was flooded by the sea when the later glaciers retreated.
