Dirdal

Dirdal is the name of valley and a village in Gjesdal municipality in the county of Rogaland, Norway. The valley has around 400 inhabatians, 248 of which live in the main village of Gilja. Dirdal was the scene of fierce fighting between Norwegian and German soldiers during Nazi Germany's assault on Norway in April 1940.

Frafjord is a village and farming community in the municipality of Gjesdal in Rogaland, Norway. It is located in the valley Frafjorddalen, at the bottom of the fjord branch Frafjorden. The village had about 100 inhabitants in 2001. The 3.8 km long Frafjord Tunnel connects Frafjord to Gilja and Dirdal.

Lysefjord Bridge

The Lysefjord Bridge is a suspension bridge in Rogaland, Norway. Construction of the bridge began in 1995 and was finished in 1997. It has a main span of 446 meters and the depth of the deck is 2.7 meters. The supporting towers are 102 meters tall, and are made of reinforced concrete.
