It is located along the Nordland Line and the station serves the Sparbu and Mære areas of Steinkjer. The unmanned station is only served by the Trøndelag Commuter Rail service between Steinkjer and Trondheim, and is located near the E6 highway.

Mære Church
Mære Church is a parish church in the municipality of Steinkjer in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Mære. The church is part of the Mære parish in the Nord-Innherad deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros. The stone church was built during the 1100s on a pre-Christian place of worship that was mentioned in the old Norse sagas. Several renovations and restorations have been undertaken over the years, most recently in the 1960s.

The station serves the entire municipality of Inderøy, though there is no corresponding bus service. Salberg Church
Salberg Church is a parish church in the municipality of Inderøy in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Røra, between the Nordlandsbanen railway line and the European route E6 highway. The village of Hylla lies just to the southwest of the church. The church is part of the Røra parish in the Nord-Innherad deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros. The tiny wooden church was built in 1715 and seats about 150 people.
