Barøya is an island in the municipality of Ballangen in Nordland county, Norway. The 13-square-kilometre island is located in the Ofotfjorden near the entrance to the Efjorden. The village of Lødingen lies 7 kilometres north of the island. Barøy Lighthouse is located on the northwestern part of the island.

Lødingen Church

Lødingen Church is a parish church in the municipality of Lødingen in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Lødingen. The church is part of the Lødingen parish in the Ofoten deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The large, white, wooden church was built in 1897 on an old church site. The church seats about 350 people.

Ofoten

Ofoten is a traditional district in Nordland county in Northern Norway. It consists of the municipalities of Tysfjord, Ballangen, Evenes, Tjeldsund, Narvik, and Lødingen. It is named after the main fjord, Ofotfjord, which is at the center of this district. The 6,542-square-kilometre district was home to 30,421 residents in 2005, with almost half of the residents living in the town of Narvik.

Tjeldøya

Tjeldøya is an island in Nordland county, Norway. The 187-kilometre island is located entirely in Tjeldsund municipality. North and west of the island is the Tjeldsundet strait which separates it from the large island of Hinnøya; south of the island is the Ofotfjorden; and east of the island lies the Ramsundet strait which separates it from the mainland of Norway. Tjeldøya is connected to the mainland by the Ramsund Bridge, about 7 kilometres south of the village of Hol.
