Korsnes Church is a parish church in the municipality of Tysfjord in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Korsnes. The church is part of the Korsnes parish in the Ofoten deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The white wooden church was built in 1791. It seats about 80 people.

Ofoten

Ofoten is a traditional district in Nordland county in Northern Norway. It consists of the municipalities of Tysfjord, Ballangen, Evenes, Tjeldsund, Narvik, and Lødingen. It is named after the main fjord, Ofotfjord, which is at the center of this district. The 6,542-square-kilometre district was home to 30,421 residents in 2005, with almost half of the residents living in the town of Narvik.

Tysfjorden

Tysfjorden is a fjord in the municipality of Tysfjord in Nordland county, Norway. The fjord stretches southwards from Korsnes along the Ofoten fjord all the way to Hellmobotn, about 62 kilometres to the southeast (near the border with Sweden). The island of Hulløya is located about halfway through the fjord. Tysfjorden is the deepest fjord in Northern Norway reaching to 897 metres below sea level near Hulløya.

Barøya

Barøya is an island in the municipality of Ballangen in Nordland county, Norway. The 13-square-kilometre island is located in the Ofotfjorden near the entrance to the Efjorden. The village of Lødingen lies 7 kilometres north of the island. Barøy Lighthouse is located on the northwestern part of the island.
