The church is part of the Sørfold parish in the Salten deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The white wooden building was completed in 1955. It seats about 140 people.

Faulvatnet

Faulvatnet is a lake that lies in the municipality of Sørfold in Nordland county, Norway. The 7.24-square-kilometre lake is located about 15 kilometres north of the village of Straumen, just west of Rago National Park.
