Straumøya

Straumøya is an island in the municipality of Bodø in Nordland county, Norway. The 29.7-square-kilometre island is located on the south side of the Saltfjorden, just east of the Saltstraumen strait. The island is connected to the mainland by the Indre Sunnan Bridge and to the nearby Knaplundsøya island by the Saltstraumen Bridge, both bridges are a part of Norwegian County Road 17.

Valnesvatnet

Valnesvatnet is a lake that lies in the municipality of Bodø in Nordland county, Norway. The 4.91-square-kilometre lake lies along the Norwegian County Road 17 about 1 kilometre north of the border with Gildeskål, just northeast of Nygårdsjøen. The water in the lake flows out over the Valnesfossen waterfall on its way to the sea.

Bodø Main Air Station

Bodø Main Air Station is a military airbase of the Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNoAF) located at Bodø, Norway. It is home to the General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcons of the 331 and 332 Squadrons and a detachment of Westland Sea King search and rescue (SAR) helicopters of the 330 Squadron. Air defense is provided using NASAMS and RBS 70, with the battalion based at Bodin. About 1,000 employees work at the air station, of which 450 are conscripts.

Bodin Church

Bodin Church is a parish church in the municipality of Bodø in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the southeastern part of the town of Bodø. The church is part of the Bodin parish in the Bodø deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The white, stone church was built around the year 1240.

City Nord is the largest shopping center in Nordland and one of the largest shopping centers in Northern Norway. The turnover for 2007 was NOK 800 million. City Nord was opened in autumn 1994. The building is 23.500 m and there are 43 stores.
