Åkviksundet Bridge

Åkviksundet Bridge is a box girder bridge that crosses the Åkviksundet strait between the islands of Dønna and Staulen in Nordland county, Norway. Together with Hoholmen Bridge, it forms the road connection between the municipalities of Herøy and Dønna. The bridge is 285 metres long, the longest of the 3 spans is 135 metres, and the maximum clearance to the sea is 24.2 metres . Jan-Eirik Nilsskog was the main engineer that built the bridge.

Vandve

Vandve or Vandved is an island in the municipality of Dønna in Nordland county, Norway. The 5.8-square-kilometre flat island lies about 5 kilometres west of the island of Dønna and about 10 kilometres south of the Åsvær islands. In 2001, there were about 60 residents of the island, with boat connections to Dønna. Vandve Church is located on the island.

Vandve Church

Vandve Church is a parish church in the municipality of Dønna in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village/island of Vandve. The church is part of the Dønna parish in the Nord-Helgeland deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The wooden church was built in 1956 as a chapel, and was made a church around 1980. The building seats about 50 people.
