Akerøya

Akerøya is an uninhabited island in Hvaler in Østfold, Norway. The island has an area of 1.6 km². On the islet Festningholmen near Akerøya is Akerøya Fort from the 17th century, part of the fortifications of Fredrikstad Fortress. Akerøya was protected as a nature reserve from 1978, and is included in the Ytre Hvaler National Park from 2009.

Asmaløy

Asmaløy is an island in Hvaler municipality of Østfold county, Norway. Asmaløy is one of the larger islands in the archipelago of Hvaler which consists of over 800 islands, islets, skerries and reefs located in the outer Oslofjord. Hvaler tunnel (Hvalertunnelen) joins Asmaløy with Kirkeøy, the largest island in the municipality and the site of the administrative centre at Skjærhalden. Hvaler tunnel is an underwater tunnel on Highway 108 (Rv108).
