USS Zeppelin (1914)

USS Zeppelin was a passenger liner launched in 1914 as SS Zeppelin by Bremer Vulkan, Bremen-Vegesack, Germany, for Norddeutscher Lloyd (NDL). Due to the First World War she never entered NDL service. She had a career after the war first under White Star Line control, then briefly as the troop ship USS Zeppelin, next as the Orient SN Co liner SS Ormuz and finally back with NDL as SS Dresden.

Boknafjord

The Boknafjord is a Norwegian fjord located in the county of Rogaland, between the cities Stavanger and Haugesund. The fjord is shared between the municipalities of Kvitsøy, Rennesøy, Finnøy, Tysvær, Bokn and Karmøy. There are serious plans to build Rogfast, a planned sub-sea tunnel under the Boknafjord and the Kvitsøyfjord. It will the be about 24 km long and 350 m deep, and the longest and deepest underwater road tunnel in the world.

Kårstø Power Station

Kårstø Power Station is a natural gas-fired thermal power plant located at the industrial site of Kårstø in Norway. The station is owned and operated by the company Naturkraft, that is again owned by Statkraft and Statoil and opened on 2 November 2007. Construction costs totaled NOK 2 billion and the turbine was delivered from Siemens. The power station has an installed effect of 420 MW, with an annual production of 3.5 TWh, equivalent of 3% of the Norwegian electrical production.

Karmøy Tunnel

The Karmøy Tunnel is a subsea road tunnel under construction in Karmøy and Tysvær, Norway. 8.9-kilometer long, it will link Karmøy with European Route E39 and will be the longest subsea tunnel in Norway. At Fosen there will be an underground roundabout which will allow access towards Haugesund. It is part of the T-Link project, which is a toll road and scheduled to open in 2013.
