Vats

Vats is a village in the municipality of Vindafjord, in Rogaland county, Norway. Vats is located in the traditional district of Haugaland. An important industrial location, the oil platforms Statfjord, Gullfaks and Troll were built here. The Norwegian computer and software company Hatteland Group is also headquartered in Vats. The surrounding area used to constitute a municipality.

Torsnes

Torsnes is a former municipality in Østfold county, Norway. It was created by a split from Borge on 1 January 1910. At that time Torsnes had a population of 1,538. On 1 January 1964 the properties Gansrød and Ulfeng, with 30 inhabitants, were incorporated into Fredrikstad while the rest of Torsnes, with 1,274 inhabitants, was reunited with Borge. On 1 January 1994, Borge was incorporated into Fredrikstad. The Old Norse form of the name was Þórsnes, meaning " Thor's headland".

Vikebygd

Vikebygd is a village and former municipality in Hordaland county, Norway. The municipality was created by a split from Sveen on January 1, 1902. At that time Vikebygd had a population of 1,092. On 1 January 1964 the districts of Årvik, Veastad and Vik with 578 inhabitants were incorporated into Ølen municipality. The rest of Vikebygd, with 471 inhabitants, was reincorporated into Sveio. On 1 January 2006 Ølen municipality was incorporated into Vindafjord municipality in Rogaland county.
