Morgedal
Morgedal, of the municipality of Kviteseid in the county of Telemark Norway, is called the cradle of skiing. Morgedal, Norway is a village whose most famous residents were Sondre Norheim, known to be the father of modern skiing plus Torjus Hemmestveit and Mikkjel Hemmestveit. The Hemmestveit brothers created the world's first skiing school at Christiania, Norway in 1881 before emigrating to the United States in the late 19th century.

Åsgrend is a small parish in the council of Kviteseid, the county of Telemark in the Kingdom of Norway. Åsgrend is also known as Heggtveit which is also the name of the lower region of the parish. Kviteseidvatn (or Kviteseidvatnet) is a lake in the municipality of Kviteseid in Telemark county, Norway. The lake is part of the Telemark Canal and lies in the Skein watershed. Kviteseidvatn’s inlet is via ‘’Strauman’’ from lake Bandak, and it discharges via the ‘’Straumen’’ to Flåvatn.

Bandak
Bandak is a lake in the municipality of Kviteseid and Tokke in Telemark county, Norway. The lake, which is part of the Telemark Canal route, belongs to the Skien watershed. The river Tokke flows into the lake, and the outlet is via the river Straumane, to Kviteseidvatn. The Tokke Hydroelectric Plant utilizes the hydraulic head from Lake Vinje to Lake Bandak of ~394 meters to generate electricity. It is one of northern Europe's largest power plants with a production of some 440,000 kilowatts.

Flatdal
Flatdal (lit. "Flat valley") is a village, parish and valley in the municipality of Seljord in Telemark, Norway. The lake Flatsjå has been partly drained to gain more land for agriculture. Among notable people from Flatdal are painter Terje Grøstad, who settled in Flatdal, and television presenter Hallvard Flatland, who was born in Flatdal in 1957.
