Bardufoss concentration camp

The Bardufoss concentration camp is located in Northern Norway in the municipality of Målselv. During the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany, the Nazi authorities established a "concentration camp in the town of Bardufoss," as an annex to the Grini concentration camp. It opened in March 1944 to alleviate overflowing in other camps, particularly Grini and the Falstad concentration camp.

Bardufoss Airport

Bardufoss Airport is a primary airport situated at Bardufoss in Målselv, Norway. The airport, which is the civilian sector of the Royal Norwegian Air Force's (RNoAF) Bardufoss Air Station, is operated by the state-owned Avinor. It consists of a 2,443-meter runway, a parallel taxiway and handled 203,430 passengers in 2012. Norwegian Air Shuttle operates three daily flights with Boeing 737s to Oslo. The airport's catchment area covers central Troms.

Barduelva

Barduelva is a river in Troms county, Norway. The 70-kilometre long river is located in the municipalities of Bardu and Målselv. The river flows from the lake Altevatnet northwest to the town of Setermoen, then north to the municipal border with Målselv (with the river forming part of the border) before finally emptying into the river Målselva, just outside of the village of Bardufoss and the Bardufoss Airport. Barduelva is the largest source of hydroelectricity in all of Troms county.

Nedre Bardu Chapel

Nedre Bardu Chapel (Norwegian: Nedre Bardu kapell) is a chapel in the municipality of Bardu in Troms county, Norway. It is located along the Barduelva river in northern Bardu, about 18 kilometres north of Setermoen and about 10 kilometres south of Bardufoss. The church is part of the Bardu parish in the Indre Troms deanery in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The brown, wooden church was built in 1981 by the architect Eva Østgård.
