Andørja Church

Andørja Church is a parish church in the municipality of Ibestad in Troms county, Norway. It is located in the village of Engenes on the northwestern tip of the island of Andørja. The church is part of the Andørja parish (encompassing the island of Andørja) in the Trondenes deanery in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The white wooden church was built in 1914. It seats about 325 people.

Dyrøya (Troms)

Dyrøya is an island in the municipality of Dyrøy in Troms county, Norway. The 53-square-kilometre island is located between the large island of Senja and the mainland of Norway. The Dyrøysundet strait lies to the east of the island (towards the mainland) and the Tranøyfjorden lies to the north and west (towards Senja). The island of Andørja lies about 7 kilometres south of Dyrøya. The island is connected to the mainland by the Dyrøy Bridge, east of the village of Brøstadbotn.

Mjøsund Bridge

Mjøsund Bridge is a cantilever bridge in Ibestad and Salangen municipalities in Troms county, Norway. It is part of the Norwegian County Road 848 that crosses the Mjøsundet strait between the mainland of Norway and the island of Andørja. The bridge and the nearby Ibestad Tunnel connect the two main islands of Ibestad together with the mainland. The 840-metre long Mjøsund Bridge was opened in 1994 and it cost NOK 203 million.

Andørja (island)

Andørja is an island in the municipality of Ibestad in Troms county, Norway. The 135-square-kilometre island lies about 25 kilometres east of the town of Harstad. The island is located entirely within the present-day municipality of Ibestad, although the island itself was a separate municipality from 1926 until 1964. The largest population area on Andørja island is the Å - Ånstad - Laupstad area on the west coast with 205 residents (2001).

Ibestad Tunnel

Ibestad Tunnel is an undersea tunnel in the municipality of Ibestad in Troms county, Norway. The tunnel connects the islands of Rolla and Andørja. The western end of the tunnel begins in the village of Hamnvik on Rolla. Then the tunnel goes under the Bygda strait and connects to the village of Sørvika on the island of Andørja. The 3,398-metre long tunnel reaches a maximum depth of 112 metres below sea level.
