Gilgit

Gilgit is the capital city of Gilgit–Baltistan, Pakistan. It is the fifth but non-constitutional administrative province of Pakistan. The Gilgit–Baltistan, formerly known as Northern Areas, consist of seven districts, namely Gilgit, Skardu, Diamer, Ghizer, Astore, Ghanche and Hunza-Nagar. The Major and most dominating tribe of Gilgit-Baltistan is 'Shin' while Shina is the language spoken by majority of the population from Ghizer of Gilgit–Baltistan to Kohistan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Gilgit Airport

Gilgit Airport is a small domestic airport situated 1.25 nm (2.3 km) east of Gilgit, a city in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan. The city of Gilgit is one of the two major hubs for all mountaineering expeditions in the Northern Areas of Pakistan. Many tourists choose to travel to Gilgit by air since the road travel between Islamabad and Gilgit by Karakoram Highway takes nearly 15 hours, whereas the air travel takes only about an hour.

Hunza River

Hunza River is the principal river of Hunza, in the Northern Areas of Pakistan. It is formed by the confluence of the Kilik and Khunjerab nalas (gorges) which are fed by glaciers. It is joined by the Gilgit River and the Naltar River before it flows into the Indus River. The river cuts through the Karakoram range, flowing from north to south. The Karakoram Highway crosses the Hunza River near Hunza and Nagar valleys. It has a mean annual flow of almost 320 cubic meters per second (740mm).

Sakwar village is near to Jutial, Gilgit city, village population is about 300 families. Water shortage is the big problem of Sakwar village.
