Jalala

Jalala is a village and union council in Mardan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is located at 34°20'8N 71°54'10E and has an altitude of 339m (1115 feet). Jalala is situated about 20 km north from Mardan. The Malakand road leads through the village linking the Swat Valley to Mardan and Peshawar. Jalala is named after two brothers “Jalal Khan and Kamal Khan”. At the time of British Empire, there was a long bazaar, Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs shopkeepers were living side by side.

Takht-i-Bahi

Takht Bhai (or Takht Bahi) is a Buddhist monastic complex dating to the 1st century BCE. The complex is regarded by archaeologists as being particularly representative of the architecture of Buddhist monastic centers from its era. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980. The word Takht Bhai may have different explanations. In Sanskrit, takht means "well" and bhai means "on a high surface", so the whole word means "well on a high surface". In Persian, takht means "throne".
