Salt Range

The Salt Range is a hill system in the Punjab province of Pakistan, deriving its name from its extensive deposits of rock salt. The range extends from the Jhelum River to the Indus, across the northern portion of the Punjab province. The Salt Range contains the great mines of Mayo, Khewra, Warcha and Kalabagh, which yield vast supplies of salt. Coal of a medium quality is also found. Sakaser and Tilla Jogian are the highest peaks of Salt Range.

Lawa, Punjab

Lawa, is a village and union council of Chakwal District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is part of Talagang Tehsil and is located at 32°41'50N 71°56'5E with an altitude of 420 metres (1381 feet) and lies adjacent to Mianwali District.

Janewali

JANEWALI is a small village near the historically significant town of Chawinda in the Sialkot District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is situated one kilometer away from Chawinda on the Sialkot Road. The village was established by CH JAHAN MUHAMMAD BAJWA, hence its name, who shift on his land from Chawinda in 1825. The dominant tribe of the village is Jatt (BAJWA). (KAHLON) Jatt is the 2nd caste in village.

Uchhali Lake

Uchhali is a saltwater lake in Soan Sakaser Valley in the southern Salt Range area in Pakistan. This lake is formed due to the absence of drainage in the range. Sakaser, the highest mountain in the Salt Range at 1,522 metres, looms over the lake. Due to its saline water the lake is lifeless, but offers picturesque scenery. Boats are also available for boating.
