Estadio Agustín Sánchez

Estadio Agustín Muquita Sánchez is a football stadium in Panamá Province, Panama which hosts Liga Panameña de Fútbol team San Francisco, LNA side Independiente and other teams and local competitions from the La Chorrera district. Formerly the stadium had slightly smaller dimensions and natural turf, but it was still used for ANAPROF games.

La Chorrera, Panama

La Chorrera is a city and municipality in central Panama, located about 30 km south-west of Panama City. It is one of the larger cities in the country. La Chorrera is renowned for its international fair and famous as being the home of Bollo and Chicheme. Approximately 2% of the country's lumber comes from this district. La Chorrera is fond of the phrase "La Bella, Enamoradora y Querendona, La Gran Chorrera", reportedly as a tribute to its beautiful women, kind people, and happy night life.

La Chorrera Army Airfield

La Chorrera Army Airfield is a former United States Army Air Forces World War II air base on Panama. It was a sub-base of Albrook Field and later Howard Field which used for dispersal and overflow units as part of the defense of the Panama Canal.

Gatun structure

The Gatun structure is a possible eroded impact crater. It is named after the nearby Gatun Lake in Panama. It was first discovered in 1972 by geologist Bob Stewart and later studied by Livio L. Tornabene from the University of South Florida Department of Geology. The structure is estimated to have formed about 20 million years ago. This would place the event in the Miocene epoch.

Panama Canal

The Panama Canal (Spanish: Canal de Panamá) is a {{#invoke:Math|precision_format| (77.1)*1,000/1,609.344 | 0}}-mile (77.1 km) ship canal in Panama that connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. The canal cuts across the Isthmus of Panama and is a key conduit for international maritime trade. There are locks at each end to lift ships up to Gatun Lake . The Gatun Lake was used to reduce the amount of work required for a sea-level connection.
