Japanese destroyer Akigumo
Akigumo was an Imperial Japanese Navy destroyer of the Kagerō-class. Shortly after the Battle of the Santa Cruz Islands during the early hours of 27 October 1942, Akigumo along with the destroyer Makigumo sunk the heavily damaged and abandoned USS Hornet. US Naval ships had attempted to scuttle Hornet earlier but failed to do so before Japanese naval forces forced the US ships to withdraw.

It’s name Akbar taken from Imam Akbar Marani a known Islamic preacher/Islamic propagator and descendant of Kuddarat landed in Taguime, now under the municipality of Moh’d Ajul in 17th century & later migrate to central mindanao.

It is composed of 11 barangays that were formerly part of Tuburan. According to the 2007 census, it has a population of 26,132 people.
