Fernando Air Base
Fernando Air Base (FAB) was originally constructed by the Japanese Imperial Army over an area of a wide sugar cane plantation before the Second World War. It is 1,220 feet (375 m) above sea level and is situated on a plateau overlooking Taal Volcano with an area of 288 hectares (712 acres) of land, about 45 nautical miles (83 km) SSE of Manila. Fernando Air Base is named after Lt. Col. Basilio Fernando (one of the pioneers of the Philippine aviation).

Taal Lake
Taal Lake is a freshwater lake in the province of Batangas, on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. The lake fills Taal Caldera, a large volcanic caldera formed by very large eruptions between 500,000 and 100,000 years ago. It is the country's third largest lake after Laguna de Bay and Lake Lanao. Malvar is a white Spanish wine grape variety that is predominantly grown in the province of Madrid where it is a permitted variety in the Denominación de Origen (DO) of Vinos de Madrid. In the late 20th century there was nearly 2500 ha (6200 acres) of Malvar planted.
