Matabungkay
Matabungkay Beach is a white sand beach reasonably accessible to Manila (120 km or so) that was originally 'discovered' to be a great weekend or daytrip destination in the early 1950s, allegedly by sun starved residents of Manila. In fact the German Club had a cottage there then. It was soon a popular target for holidaylovers and permanent cottages (even deluxe beach houses) were built along the beach line (and some into the beach) in the early 1960s for rich Manila folk.

Our Lady of Caysasay (Spanish: Nuestra Señora de Caysasay) is a Marian statue originally venerated at the Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Caysasay in Taal, Batangas province in the Philippines. It is considered to be the largest church in the Philippines and in Asia, standing 96 metres long and 45 metres wide.
