Parañaque

The City of Parañaque (pop. 588,126 in 2010 Census) is one of the cities and municipalities that make up Metro Manila in the Philippines. It is located at 121’01” longitude and 14’30” latitude and is bordered to the north by Pasay, to the northeast by Taguig, to the southeast by Muntinlupa, to the southwest by Las Piñas, and to the west by Manila Bay.

Mangangate River

The Mangangate River, also referred to as the Alabang-Cupang River, is a river system in Muntinlupa City, Philippines. It is one of 21 major tributaries of Laguna de Bay. The main stream has a total length of 10 kilometers and has two branches. The first is connected to the drainage system of Ayala Alabang Village, while the second is connected with the headwater from NBP Reservation, near Camp Sampaguita.

Asian Hospital and Medical Center

The Asian Hospital and Medical Center, established on March 15, 2002 with Jorge Garcia, MD, an alumnus of the Faculty of Medicine & Surgery of the University of Santo Tomas, as its founding chairman, is the first private tertiary hospital built in the southern part of Metro Manila.

Villamor Airbase

Villamor Air Base is home of the Philippine Air Force. It is chiefly used as an air base for PAF transport and helicopter flights. It is also the military base that the Philippine president uses when departing for foreign or domestic trips abroad, though foreign departures are mostly done at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The air base is named in honor of a Filipino pilot, Jesús A. Villamor, who fought during World War II.

Diosdado Macapagal

Diosdado Pangan Macapagal (September 28, 1910 – April 21, 1997) was the ninth President of the Philippines, serving from 1961 to 1965, and the sixth Vice President, serving from 1957 to 1961. He also served as a member of the House of Representatives, and headed the Constitutional Convention of 1970. He is the father of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, who served as the 14th President of the Philippines from 2001 to 2010.
