Sapang Dalaga, with a name derived from a maiden in a creek coined the word sapa ng dalaga (ancient visayan language dating back the 14th century before the western colonization), is 96 kilometres from Ozamiz City and 50 kilometres from Dipolog City airport, located in the province of Misamis Occidental, Philippines.
