Polyany, Leningrad Oblast

Polyany is a settlement in Vyborgsky District of Leningrad Oblast, Russia, on the Karelian Isthmus. Before the Winter War and Continuation War it was the administrative center of the Uusikirkko municipality of the Viipuri province of Finland. The Finnish names mean "New Church (Church Lake)". The village was the site of death of Michael Agricola, who died there on return from the negotiations for the Treaty of Novgorod (1557).

Pobeda, Leningrad Oblast

Pobeda is a rural locality on Karelian Isthmus, in Vyborgsky District of Leningrad Oblast, served by the station Kanneljärvi of the Saint Petersburg–Vyborg railroad. Until the Winter War and Continuation War, it had been the administrative center of the Kanneljärvi municipality of the Viipuri province of Finland.

Fort Ino

Fort Ino or Fort Nikolaevsky (Russian: форт «Ино» or форт Николаевский) is an abandoned early 20th-century Russian coastal fortification situated on the northern shore of Neva Bay in the Gulf of Finland. The fort is close to the present-day settlement Privetninskoye (Former name was Ino before 1946) of Vyborgsky District of Leningrad Oblast, opposite the Krasnaya Gorka fort on the southern shore. Fort Ino is still under Russian control.
