Zhelcha River

The Zhelcha River is a river in Strugo-Krasnensky and Gdovsky Districts in Pskov Oblast, Russia, a tributary of Lake Peipus. It is 107 kilometres long, and the area of its drainage basin is 1,220 square kilometres . It is navigable downstream from the settlement of Yamm. The main tributaries of the Zhelcha are the Dubenka, the Krapivenka, the Nizhnyaya Belka, and the Yeglina Rivers.

Piirissaar

Piirissaar (earlier Borka, Russian: Mezha) is an Estonian island located in Lake Peipus. It belongs to Tartu County as the Piirissaare Parish. Piirissar is the largest island in Lake Peipus with a size of 7.8 km². It is located c. 15 km from the mouth of the Emajõgi river. Piirissaar is located c. 1 - 2 meters above the water level in Lake Peipus.

Piirissaare Parish

Piirissaare Parish is the smallest (by population) rural municipality in Tartu County, Estonia, consisting of the Piirissaar island in Lake Peipus. The island is known as its beautiful nature. There is many rare organisms such as Common Spadefoot, Green Toad, Little Gull, Black Tern, White-tailed Eagle, European bullhead, Petasites spurius and Muskrat. It´s the most important wildlife preserve to amphibians in Estonia.
