Kamsko-Ustyinsky District is an administrative and municipal district, one of the forty-three in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. It is located in the west of the republic and borders with Verkhneuslonsky District in the north, Tetyushsky District in the south, Apastovsky District in the west, and with Kuybyshev Reservoir in the east. Syukeyevo Caves
Syukeyevo Caves were a group of caves in what is today Kamsko-Ustyinski District, Tatarstan, Russia. Located near the village of Syukeyevo until the 1958, they were destroyed by an eruption of the banks of the newly filled Kuybyshev Reservoir. There were several minor and three notable caves, the biggest Maiden Cave was 120 m long and 14515 m³ in volume. The second notable, Minor Syukeyevo Cave was 70 m long and 734 m³ in volume. Both caves had a dolomite top and a gypsum bottom.

Bolghar
Bolghar was intermittently capital of Volga Bulgaria from the 8th to the 15th centuries, along with Bilyar and Nur-Suvar. It was situated on the bank of the Volga River, about 30 km downstream from its confluence with the Kama River and some 130 km from modern Kazan in what is now Spassky District. North of it lies a small modern town, since 1991 known as Bolgar.
