Kamabai is a small town in Bombali District in the Northern Province of Sierra Leone, with a population of about 4000 within a 7 km radius (including the villages of Kagbumbo, Bonaia, Manlokoko, Kawere, Masasa, Makombon, Matunko, Mateli, Mabunko, Karim, Mankorokoro, Kamaron and Katanta). Binkolo

Binkolo is a rural town in Bombali District in the Northern Province of Sierra Leone. Binkolo is home to an estimated 13,867 residents (2004 census). The majority of the population are from the Limba ethnic group. Farangbaia Forest Reserve

Farangbaia Forest Reserve is a forest reserve with a rainforest ecosystem in Sierra Leone. The Reserve covers an area of 1,260 hectares, is located approximately 10km to the south-east of the town of Bumbuna and forms part of the catchment area for the Seli River. Since the outbreak of Sierra Leone civil war in 1991 much of the reserve has become farmland and bush forest and there a number sawmills operating there.

Makeni

Makeni is the largest city and economic center of the Northern Province of Sierra Leone. Makeni is the capital and administrative center of Bombali District; and is also the fourth largest city in Sierra Leone by population. Makeni lies approximately 137 kilometers (85 miles) east of Freetown. Makeni is a major commercial, educational, tranportational and economic center. Northern Province, Sierra Leone

The Northern Province (commonly referred to as Northern Sierra Leone or simply the North) is one of the four provincial divisions of Sierra Leone. It comprises five Districts and covers an area of 35,936 km² and with a population of 1,718,240 (2004 census). Its administrative and economic center is Makeni. The North borders the Western Area to the West, the Republic of Guinea to the north-east, the Eastern Province and Southern Province to the south-east.
