Polskava

The Polskava is a river in Lower Styria, Slovenia. The river is 40 kilometres in length. Its source is on the Pohorje Massif, near Saint Henry's Church at the Maribor Pohorje Ski Resort. It passes Šmartno na Pohorju, Zgornja Polskava, Spodnja Polskava, Pragersko, and Lovrenc na Dravskem Polju, and merges with the Dravinja River near Videm pri Ptuju.

Macelj

Macelj is the name of a village and a forest in northern Croatia bordering on Slovenia. There is an official border crossing in Macelj, and the end of the A2 highway. The villages are administratively divided into Gornji Macelj (Upper), population 204, and Donji Macelj (Lower), population 565. At the end of World War II in 1945, the forests near Macelj were the location of the Macelj massacre. Macelj hosts the most frequently congested border crossing in Croatia on the Slovenian border.

The state road D1 (Croatian: Državna cesta D1) is a national highway in Croatia. It is a one-lane highway that spans from Macelj border crossing in the north via Krapina, Zagreb, Karlovac, Slunj, Gračac, Knin, Sinj, ending in Split. It is 415.8 kilometres long overall.

Lake Ptuj

Lake Ptuj is an artificial lake on the river Drava to the south east of the town of Ptuj in eastern Slovenia. It is the largest artificial lake in Slovenia and was created in 1978 when a dam for the Formin hydroelectric power plant was built on the Drava. It is still used as the reservoir for the power plant, but is also popular for rowing, sailing and fishing.
