Maribor Edvard Rusjan Airport

Maribor Edvard Rusjan Airport (Slovene: Letališče Edvarda Rusjana Maribor) is the second biggest airport in Slovenia, serving the city of Maribor. It is located 9 km south of the Maribor railway station, near Slivnica. The airport currently has one scheduled flight and there are also seasonal charter flights to coastal destinations. It is named after the Slovene pioneer aviator Edvard Rusjan.

Pobrežje, Maribor

Pobrežje is a suburb of the city of Maribor in Slovenia. In 2012, the suburb had a population of 13,522 inhhabitans. Pobrežje is subdivided into North Pobrežje, East Pobrežje, West Pobrežje, and South Pobrežje. Pobrežje is home of the Maribor Cemetery, the biggest cemetery in the city.

Tezno

Tezno is a suburb of the city of Maribor in Slovenia. In 2012, the suburb had a population of 11,472. In World War II, a large trench in Tezno became a major mass grave, that was later investigated by the Commission on Concealed Mass Graves in Slovenia. The local football club is called NK Kovinar Tezno.

Fram Creek

Fram Creek is a river in Lower Styria, Slovenia. The river is 26 kilometres in length. Its source is on the Pohorje Massif, near Sveti Areh in the Maribor Pohorje Ski Resort. It passes Fram and Rače and merges with other streams of the Drava Plain (Dravsko polje) and joins the Polskava River.

Lent Festival

The Lent International Summer Festival is a major arts festival held for approximately two weeks at the end of June annually in Maribor, Slovenia. Organized by the Narodni dom Cultural Center every year the festival attracts theatre, opera, ballet performers, classical, modern, and jazz musicians and dancers from all over the world as well as visitors. There are also mimes, magicians, and acrobats performing during the festival.
