Baelo Claudia

Baelo Claudia is the name of an ancient Roman town, located 22 kilometres outside of Tarifa, near the village of Bolonia, in southern Spain. Lying on the shores of the Straits of Gibraltar, the town was originally a fishing village and trade link when it was settled some 2,000 years ago. Although prosperous at the time of Emperor Claudius, it went into a decline hastened by earthquakes and was abandoned by the 6th century.

El Estrecho Natural Park

El Estrecho (The Strait) Natural Park is a natural park in Spain, located on the northern side of the Strait of Gibraltar. Comprising 189.1 square kilometres, it was declared a natural park in 2003 and is the southernmost park of Europe. The park is located at the southernmost point of mainland Spain, and of mainland Europe, making it the southernmost park of Europe.

Playa de Los Lances

The playa de Los Lances (English: Beach of Los Lances) is a beach that forms one side of the town of Tarifa, in the region of Campo de Gibraltar in Andalusia, Spain. The beach is 7,250 metres long from Punta de la Peña to Punta Tarifa, with an average width of 120 metres . It is usually differentiated into two zones: North Los Lances, an undeveloped beach away from main population center, and South Los Lances, very close to the town of Tarifa and with extensive human occupation.

Camarinal Sill

The Camarinal Sill is the sill separating the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. This threshold is the shallowest seafloor pass between the Iberian Peninsula and Africa. It is located near the Gibraltar Strait and the Espartel Sill, at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:35|56|N|5|45|W||| |primary |name=Camarinal Sill }}, at an elevation of −280 m.

Punta de Tarifa

Punta de Tarifa (Point Tarifa, Point Marroqui) is the southernmost point of the Iberian Peninsula and continental Europe. It is located in the province of Cádiz and the autonomous community of Andalusia on the Atlantic end of the Straits of Gibraltar. The coast of Morocco can be seen from this point. The point is the southeastern tip of the former island, known as Isla de Tarifa or Isla de las Palomas, located offshore and connected by the mainland with a dam.
