Santo Toribio de Liébana

The Monastery of Santo Toribio de Liébana is a Roman Catholic monastery located in the district of Liébana, near Potes in Cantabria, Spain. Located in the Cantabrian Mountains in northern Spain, the monastery is one of the five places of Christianity that, together with Rome, Jerusalem, Santiago de Compostela and Caravaca de la Cruz, has the privilege of perpetual indulgences. The monastery was founded prior to the 6th century.

San Glorio

San Glorio is a mountain pass in the Cantabrian Mountains of Northern Spain. The pass reaches an altitude of 1609 metres along the national highway N621 which connects the city of León with Cantabria and which passes through Asturias. The pass is situated some 800m from the southern border of the Picos de Europa National Park, a park included in UNESCO's World Network of Biosphere Reserves and shared by the provinces of León, Asturias and Cantabria.

Palacio, Cantabria

Palacio is a town in the Arenas de Iguña municipality of the Spanish region of Cantabria. In the year 2004 its population was 45. Palacio is located just north of the los Llares river and is 1.5 kilometers from the capital of the municipality, Arenas de Iguña, and 205 meters (673 feet) above sea level.

Fuentes Carrionas

The massif of Fuentes Carrionas is a mountain range belonging to Spain's Cantabrian Mountains. The massif is in the north of the province of Palencia, and also falls within the boundaries of province of León and Cantabria. The range has seasonal snow cover and is the source of the river Carrión. Its highest peak is Peña Prieta, with 2538 m.

Las Fraguas

Las Fraguas is a town in the Arenas de Iguña municipality of the Spanish region of Cantabria. The population of Las Fraguas was 166 as of the year 2004. The town is located 0.6 kilometers from the municipality capital, Arenas de Iguña, and 180 meters (591 feet) above sea level. The Palace of Las Fraguas, where The Others was filmed, can be found here. Within the palace are the Praying Sculptures of the Acebedos, which were declared to be of special cultural significance in 2003.
