Solar updraft tower

The solar updraft tower is a renewable-energy power plant for generating electricity from solar power. Sunshine falling on a greenhouse-like collector structure around the base of a tall chimney heats the air within it. The resulting convection causes air to rise up the tower by the chimney effect. This airflow drives wind turbines to produce electricity.

Cigüela

The Cigüela or Gigüela is a 225 km long river in Castile-La Mancha, Spain, tributary to the Guadiana. Its source is near the village Puerto de Cabrejas, Iberian System, Cuenca Province. The Cigüela along with the Záncara, its main tributary, is the main water source for the Tablas de Daimiel wetlands. Other tributaries are the Jualón, Torrejón, the Valdejudíos and the Amarguillo.

Mancha Húmeda

Mancha Húmeda is a Spanish wetland area which was designated a Biosphere reserve in 1980. "Húmeda" means damp in Spanish and "Mancha Húmeda" refers to the wetlands of La Mancha, a predominantly arid part of central Spain. The core area of the reserve is the Tablas de Daimiel National Park, which has been important for its bird population. The buffer zone of Mancha Húmeda includes a natural park, the Lagunas de Ruidera Natural Park.
